I'm going off of caffiene. I realize I feel better when I'm not on it and I'm also quite skinnier, too. Supposedly caffiene partially affect the insulin level in your bloodstream, 'causing your blood sugar to go up or something. I dunno. From my highly unscientific/highly anecdotal experience, I think it would be best for me. When I was in college and was diagnosed with hypoglycemia, I gave up caffiene and a lot of sugar. And it worked. I was also 19 at the time, but at any rate, I felt a lot better and I lost weight. I cut out a lot of sweets, sodas, and crap, and I ate more salads and drank more water.
I went through the withdrawls today -- some nasty, lingering headaches that aren't going away... but they will. I feel the need to detox -- my body, my apartment, and my head. Last week, I had an audition and callback for a National Fruit Candy Commercial. Both went very well, but alas, I did not get it. It would have been nice, if only 'cause it's shooting in Canada. Obviously, I'm rather disappointed that I didn't get it, but at the same time, I didn't beat myself up over it either. I did a good job -- enough to get called back. I got great feedback and responses both times, so I know I made a good impression, and that's all I have control over.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to take some ibuprofen.
i was diagnosed with hypoglycemia in college, too, at 19. believe me, i get the sugar/caffeine addiction. hang in there. :) kd
