I've managed to knock out a few numbers on my 101 in 1001 list. I do have several currently in progress:
11. Work out 4 days a week for a month.
First serious week of this, and it's going along well.
33. Memorize two classical monologues, one comedic and one dramatic, to use at auditions.
I've already picked out some monologues and will be memorizing at least one of them this weekend. It's down to either All's Well That Ends Well or As You Like It.
69. Give up tortilla chips for Lent in addition to my usual potatoes.
Going a lot better than I thought. Though I can't wait to have some Fries come Easter.
48. Run two more arcs of my Dead of Night role playing game with my Sunday gaming group.
I'm almost half-way through the first arc. It's going well.
23. Take a trip with Tom to a place where we don't know anyone, and therefore it would be like an actual vacation, God forbid.
AND
54. Go to Vegas. We've been here for 6 years, and have never been. I know. Stop giving me that look.
Tom and I are going to Vegas for about a week in June around his birthday. I'm so very excited about this, and my mind keeps drifting to wandering around the casinos, playing slots and staying up late. Ahhhh.....
So far, so good.
Bravo mon frére.
As your elder, I have to put in my 2 cents for the monologues. Sure, you want to be all light and funny. Do not neglect the profund impact of really heavy drama. i.e. Macbeth or king lear. Or if you really want to get wicked, explore your Iago side. Envy, revenge and calculated destruction.
Whatever happened to those buffy dvds! And if I come visit LA would it be possible to meet the pussy cat dolls?
